Elevating Colorado’s tourism content

We are proud to be a Colorado-based company. Few places are more conducive to free-thinking, creativity, and warm sunny days to bike to work. So working on the state’s flagship tourism website — COLORADO.com — is not just business. It’s personal.

It’s also complicated. Colorado is an enormous state with vast and compelling geography, hundreds of towns worth visiting, 50+ tourism industries wanting fair representation, and a user-set who still thinks that Denver is in the mountains and prone to periodic avalanches.

As a result, COLORADO.com has many layers. Our collaborative agency partner — Miles | Weaver — was awarded the website contract by the state based on their ability to motivate potential travelers and track conversion. Our lead strategist, Kevin Day, was part of the RFP team and is now consulting as the lead content strategist to help balance the state’s branded story with real, tangible conversion of the site’s web users.

On any given day, we are:

  • Establishing the complete content strategy for COLORADO.com — inclusive of editorial coverage, linking strategies, SEO, and email marketing
  • Overseeing the strategy for new rich-media content such as how-to videos and editorial slideshows
  • Conducting a thorough ongoing content audit to detail the site’s content and prioritize future updates
  • Communicating with the internal content and development teams on uploading, workflow and deliverables for relaunch.

We’re aiming for a complete site redesign and relaunch in the near future. Few things could make us more proud than working on our home state’s website.
